“Forget-me-not” is a socio-cultural international author's project by Stanislav Drokin, launched during the war in the city of Kharkiv, which, through the works from the “Forget-me-not” collection, preserves the memory of the events of each day of the Russian war against Ukraine: the memory of the courage of the defenders, the cultural, historical, scientific heritage destroyed by the Russians, and the lives taken. It is also a symbol of gratitude for the international legal, humanitarian, medical, and military assistance that contributed to Ukraine's victory, and is a symbol of the revival of life on the ruins of the tragedy. Each work is unique, one-of-a-kind and preserves the memory of the events of a specific day of the war, indicated by an individual number. The pieces are handmade from steel fragments of Russian shells, stylized forget-me-not flowers from titanium oxidized in blue, and bronze.
Information about the author and the project was published in the international edition of the New York Times on July 4, 2022, on US Independence Day, (paper version - TRADITION, S2 | TUESDAY, JULY 5, 2022).
